Quartz and Engineered Stone

Quartz and Engineered Stone

Engineered stone, commonly referred to as Quartz, is a strong, durable and attractive slab surface that is very consistent in look and pattern. It is heat-resistant, non-porous and does not accumulate bacteria and other microorganisms. The surfaces have the ability to resist stains and are very easy to maintain.

Some engineered stone products are made to resemble granite, limestone, or marble, enabling you to get the look you want with different performance characteristics such as exceptional flexural strength, impact resistance, and relatively low maintenance. If you like using recycled materials or protecting natural resources like real marble, engineered stone counters might be the slab surface for you. Engineered stone products may have natural color tones or exotic colors and patterns giving a wide range of possibilities for your project. Quartz surfaces, with resilient characteristics, perform great in an active kitchen. Unlike solid surfacing or laminate, which are temperature-sensitive and can catch fire, engineered stone resists heat well and provides an excellent work surface in the kitchen.
